Innovative Team Building for Professionals

REAL WORLD
To compete in today's markets, employees need to work collaboratively, communicate quickly and accurately, and solve problems creatively...even under less-than-ideal circumstances. This simulated space mission provides a unique learning experience that offers real-word challenges that capture the imagination, brilliance, and hearts of employees, in a memorable and dramatic way!

For an out-of-this-world team building experience, contact the Challenger Learning Center New Mexico for information at 505-248-1776.

REAL TIME
The Corporate Encounter Program gives your staff a high tech experience that hones creative, interdependent problem-solving and responsible decision-making. Skills and responses required during the simulation mirror workplace dynamics, providing fertile ground for real-time learning, growth, and self reflection.

REAL ACTION
The state-of-the-art simulator transports employees to an exciting space scenario. As members of interrelated teams, the participants “fly” the mission. Each person receives pre-flight instruction and experiences two simulator locations: mission control (patterned after NASA’s Johnson Space Center) the operations deck of a spacecraft.

REAL RESULTS
Experience the dramatic impact of team and communications skills.
 Practice critical thinking under stress.
 Practice prioritizing tasks and information.
 Solve problems effectively and efficiently.
Learn and work in a fun and challenging environment.
Carry away a memorable, morale-boosting experience.
Take new skills back to work for increased productivity and morale.

REAL VALUE
Before: Our facilitators will meet with your team leader to customize your mission to target your organization's specific goals.

During: Groups explore effective behaviors and attitudes for troubleshooting problems, improving interoffice relations, and increasing productivity.

After: Personal performance plans and implementation plans transfer learning from the mission experience to the workplace.

PAY IT FORWARD
The opportunity to share this unique experience with the leaders of tomorrow is an important component of the Corporate Encounter Program. Therefore, 25% of all fees will be donated to the Challenger Learning Center New Mexico’s School Program Fund. Teachers throughout the state of New Mexico may apply for full or partial funding for their classes, grades K- 12, to participate in the space flight simulation. Each application will be reviewed using an established rubric designed to rate set criteria which include: financial need, stated classroom goals and objectives, sustainable assessment plan, documentation of academic need, and commitment toward student achievement. Math, science, and complex reading comprehension skills turn into adventure through a student’s experience as an astronaut and mission controller. Each student mission includes a teacher workshop and six weeks of preparatory curriculum.
